AYA JONES (SHE/HER)
A 22 year old firecracker gal—talkative in a neurotic way and worries too much. A lil beaten down by a minimum wage job, but hoping for something more (and perhaps lying to her dad and the rest of her family about already having something more). Short fuse and snappy, but she cares.
CAMERON ‘CAM’ TAYLOR (SHE/THEY)
Early 20s. Deadpan optimist. “Mom” friend. Childhood friends with Aya, and currently a first-year med student. They’re more “established” than Aya in the sense of societal expectations and there’s a tension in their relationship due to different levels of “success,” and because this perception has Aya ignorant to Cam’s current struggles.
NIKOLAI ‘NIK’ LEVASHKEVICH (HE/HIM)
Also early 20s. Compared to Aya and Cam, Nik is a bit more aimless and he doesn’t mind it that way. He doesn’t take himself seriously and most of the time, he’ll laugh at you for taking him seriously, EXCEPT in the case of his magic abilities and role as Freelance Magician (at your service~). Emotionally supportive, and a little bit lonely but he hides it well.
GREG JONES (HE/HIM)
Aya’s dad who just really wishes she’d pick up the phone. She’s been ignoring his calls, but when you hear him on voicemail you can tell immediately that these two are related. Believes in Aya with all his heart but also has high HIGH expectations for Aya and doesn’t communicate well. Worry comes across as anger.
